About the position
As a nurse/district nurse with us at Hemsjukvård Sydost, you play a key role in creating a meaningful everyday life for our patients. You will have nursing responsibility for enrolled patients aged 18 and over who need health and medical care at home. We work preventively in teams with nurses, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and unit managers to create good and safe care. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region. Since residents of Örebro can freely choose their care providers, you will have contact with both our own municipal operations and private providers. For us, it is important to base our work on a person-centered and rehabilitative approach, focusing on our patients' wishes and needs.
The assignment consists of varied tasks, providing opportunities for diversity and challenges. With us, you have close access to collegial support as we are a large unit where all employees work from shared premises centrally located in the south. We also have a common evening and weekend organization where all home healthcare areas collaborate from the same workplace. This allows us to promote close collegial cooperation, achieve clearer division of labor, and ensure that you work fewer evenings and weekends.

Examples of tasks:
As a nurse/district nurse:
- you work according to the nursing process with medical care for patients, independent planning, implementation of interventions, follow-up/evaluation of interventions
- you provide advice and guidance, perform examinations and treatments based on independent assessments
- you work with preventive health efforts
- you manage medications and delegate tasks to nursing staff
As a district nurse:
- you have an extra responsibility to communicate structured working methods to your colleagues
- you have prescribing rights and use your knowledge of the properties of medications, prescriptions, and their side effects
- based on in-depth knowledge, you make health economic choices for investigation and treatment
- you guide colleagues in areas with educational needs and are a driving force towards Close Care
About the workplace
Hemsjukvård Sydost is one of a total of five home healthcare areas in Örebro Municipality. Our catchment area consists of urban and rural areas in a varied and pleasant environment. The unit is in an exciting development phase where we are working on development projects such as a coordinator function aimed at improving accessibility for residents and enhancing the work environment for employees.
The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority exercises within the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who feels confident working independently and guiding others. You are a driven and solution-oriented person who is used to structuring and prioritizing your tasks. You have a good attitude and contribute to a good work environment, and you enjoy collaborating with others. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information is conveyed. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- licensed nurse
- B driver's license (for manual transmission)
- ability to cycle
Meritorious:
- experience working as a nurse
- trained district nurse
- experience working with health and medical care at home
- experience working in operational systems such as Treserva, Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert
