Örebro University Hospital, Vascular-Thoracic Department, is now seeking a resident physician in vascular surgery.

The Vascular and Thoracic Department conducts vascular surgical activities in outpatient care, inpatient wards, surgery, and intensive care (TIVA). We also collaborate with the Venous Center at Karlskoga Hospital, where we provide day surgery for varicose vein surgery. The Vascular Section in Region Örebro County has been performing advanced vascular surgery for many years and has long been at the forefront of development, particularly in endovascular aortic surgery. In addition to clinical work, we also have a high level of research activity within the section. Research is a high priority and offers exciting development opportunities.

We work in a patient-centered care chain, collaborating with other units within our department and Region Örebro County. Our organization enables short decision-making paths and effective collaboration around the patient. Medical education and other training are important parts of our mission. We currently have about 220 employees, including vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, nurses (general, surgical, anesthetic, and intensive care), nursing assistants, and medical administrative staff.

Job Responsibilities

Includes examining, investigating, assessing, and treating patients with vascular surgical conditions. Supervision of students, interns, and others is part of the job. As a vascular surgeon with us, you will work with central and peripheral vascular reconstruction/intervention. There are also good opportunities for research in various areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the development of the vascular section at the Vascular-Thoracic Clinic. A strong team spirit and the ability to collaborate across boundaries are important. Research experience, as well as a documented interest in research, is an advantage. Personal qualities are of great importance.
