We are looking for a licensed speech therapist who wants to work with children and adolescents aged 0-21 with various disabilities, such as mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, autism, or multiple disabilities. With us, you will work closely with the child/adolescent and their family. Collaboration can also occur with staff from other services.

You have the opportunity to work independently but also together with others in the team at the Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation in Örebro. Here, there is a close-knit and effective team that works with a focus on development and together stimulates well-being at work. Leading groups and training may also be part of the assignment.

You will meet children and adolescents and their parents, as well as others such as assistants and preschool or school staff. You are an important part of the child's development. You will conduct intake visits as well as home visits, visits to various residences, and preschools and schools depending on needs. Intake visits for this position mainly take place at our reception in Örebro. Other receptions are located in Karlskoga, Hallsberg, and Nora.

The Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation offers support and treatment to children and adolescents with disabilities and their families and networks. In the team, several different professional groups collaborate. We have social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, special educators, doctors, secretaries, unit managers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation is part of the Area of Close Care.

Job Responsibilities

As a speech therapist with us, you will conduct assessments and treatments of children with speech, language, and communication difficulties or eating and drinking problems, as well as the testing and prescription of certain assistive devices. At the Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation in Örebro County, there are 10 speech therapist positions distributed among the different teams. As a newcomer, you will receive guidance and training based on needs both within the professional group and in the work team. Generally, and in each professional group, competence development and methodological work are organized through internal training, method meetings, and professional meetings.

Qualifications

Licensed speech therapist is a requirement. Experience working with children/adolescents or adults with disabilities is an advantage. You should be able to work independently with patients but also be flexible and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues and partners. Travel in the service is included, so a driver's license is required.
