Job Responsibilities

As a mother tongue teacher and study guide, you will work with:

• Mother tongue instruction according to the applicable curriculum
• Study guidance for newly arrived and multilingual students
• Interpretation assignments as needed

In the role of mother tongue teacher, you are responsible for following the curriculum in the subject of mother tongue and for writing assessments and assigning grades. Teaching takes place in age-heterogeneous groups, which requires you to adapt the instruction to the students' different needs and conditions.

As a study guide, you collaborate closely with the students' mentors and class teachers to support the students' knowledge development in various subjects at school. You build good relationships with students and guardians through dialogue and mutual respect and serve as an important link between home and school.

Teaching is conducted at several of the municipality's schools, which means travel between schools.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification is an advantage
• Pedagogical experience working with children and youth is an advantage
• Good collaboration skills and a flexible working style

Employment Type

The position is a part-time employment based on the needs of the operation. Start date by agreement.
