Norlandia Preschools Vintergatan is looking for preschool teachers who possess high pedagogical competence, a desire to develop in their professional role, and contribute with enthusiasm and joy at the workplace. We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference in children's lives. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have the ability to be flexible and responsive to adapt to children's needs.

You have experience leading teams and are well acquainted with the Education Act and the curriculum for preschools in your role as a preschool teacher. Systematic quality work is something you see as a given for conducting good and adequate teaching based on governing documents.

Qualifications:

Qualified preschool teacher with a preschool teacher license.

Many years of experience in the preschool teacher role within Swedish preschool.

Competence in language development and intercultural working methods.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

You are well acquainted with the curriculum's goals regarding teaching and learning as well as other governing documents aimed at preschools.

You have extensive experience in working and leading systematic quality work at both group and individual levels.

You have good knowledge of Office365.

Preschool Vintergatan is located in Hovshaga, close to Hovshaga center and with a bus stop around the corner. Here we have the forest at our doorstep, a 4H farm within reach, proximity to the library, and a large lovely outdoor area where teaching is combined with movement and activities. We see outdoor activities as a given in our teaching and view the forest as part of our pedagogical arena. We think innovatively and work forward while carrying the systematics with us in our everyday life. At Vintergatan, we can now also proudly boast our restaurant, which has been awarded two gastronomic stars as Preschool Kitchen of the Year both 2024 and 2025 in Sweden's public meal competition SOM24. Here, chefs and educators work closely together in our concept Food with Taste. The preschool started in January 2022 and has space for 120 children, and we are in an expanding phase with new families and children on the way in.

At Norlandia preschools, we offer you professional development every semester based on the preschool's prioritized goals and initiatives. You will be part of our unique concepts, professional development days at the preschool, central initiatives, and offerings through our digital learning platform. You will receive work clothes that we wear with pride every day, and you will also receive wellness funds. As a preschool teacher at Norlandia, you have the opportunity for a holiday service.

Employment form: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period

Scope: 75%

Working hours: Daytime according to schedule, the needs of the operation, and the preschool's opening hours. Some evening meetings may also occur.

Start date: 20260301 or by agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
