About the school

Hagatorpskolan in Ljungby is a family-oriented and student-centered school for grades F-9 with an associated after-school program. The school currently has about 150 students and is just a stone's throw from the Kronoskogen nature reserve. We focus on goal fulfillment, safety, and study peace, and we have skilled teachers who, together with other staff and our student health team, work to ensure our students succeed in school - Do you want to be one of us?

We are now looking for a temporary special educator for the spring term.

You will work on conducting investigations regarding special support for our students, establishing action plans, and following up and evaluating these action plans together with, for example, teachers and guardians. You will also support teachers in their teaching and be a sounding board regarding extra adaptations and other pedagogical challenges. Together with the special teacher, you will have a key role in the special education work at the school, working across all grades F-9 and planning support measures according to students' needs.

You will be part of a network with other special educators/special teachers within the educational group that meets regularly under the guidance of our process-supporting central special educator.

The position is a temporary one, tentatively until March, but the temporary position may be extended.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work.
• Has the tools needed to meet students, guardians, and educators in a communicative and trustworthy manner.
• Works long-term, sets goals, tests, and evaluates together with colleagues.

Qualifications

A degree in special education is desirable. Experience with systems such as ProRenata and SchoolSoft is also beneficial. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
