Berlitz Corporation has been operating in Sweden since 1931 and is a world leader in language and communication. We offer an international, professional, and dynamic work environment, and are now seeking language instructors to deliver high-quality Swedish education for business clients and their children/youth in Älmhult.

We are looking for someone who

• Is available for face-to-face teaching at the client's location in Älmhult, at least two afternoons or evenings a week (3:00 PM–8:00 PM). Other times between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, Monday–Friday, may also occur. Currently, we have the greatest need for instructors for lessons between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
• Is interested in teaching children and teenagers (private tutoring). Additional training will be provided after completing the initial instructor training.
• Lives in Älmhult
• Can motivate and engage through a creative and dynamic approach while creating structure in the teaching.
• Is present, attentive, and adapts the teaching to the client's needs.
• Has good collaboration skills and contributes to an open, positive work climate with colleagues and administrative staff.
• Is organized, as the position also involves some administration (documentation of lessons and feedback to students).

You need

• To have Swedish at a native level.
• To have at least a bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience in business or education. If you are still studying, graduation is not required.

Your tasks

We believe you have another main occupation that you want to combine with teaching with us.

As a language instructor, you will teach according to the Berlitz method® and follow up on the student's development through regular documentation. Teaching takes place at the client's location in Älmhult.

Distance teaching may also occur.

You will be part of an engaged and supportive team where we collaborate closely around our students.

Instructor training (mandatory)

Before you start teaching, you will undergo our mandatory instructor training remotely. The training consists of approximately 20 hours over a period of about three weeks. It includes self-study (online modules) and teacher-led virtual sessions in English. The training is not compensated, but we view it as an investment in our future instructors and therefore cover all costs.

Once you have completed the training and started your employment, all further training and workshops are compensated.
