Åbyskolan in Lagan is located in Ljungby municipality and accommodates students from preschool to grade 9. The school is set in a scenic environment with proximity to nature. A large sports hall and an artificial grass pitch adjacent to the school create good conditions for teaching in sports and health.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of special teacher, you will plan and conduct your own teaching. You will also work with mapping, guidance, and observation of individual students and groups. The assignment involves working preventively to remove obstacles in various learning environments and to develop the work around support measures and adaptations for students in need of special support.

You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of the principal, special teacher, counselor, and school nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher or special teacher with an approved teaching degree for teaching in grades 7-9, or who has another educational background that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Experience in special education in Swedish, mathematics, and English is an advantage. We see that you have the ability to collaborate well with a solution-focused approach in a team where high expectations and collegial learning are in focus.

You should be able to take responsibility for your tasks, see opportunities in changes, and listen and communicate constructively. You value diversity and place great importance on working in line with the school's mission and goals.

This means that together with other educators, you will lead, organize, and structure the work to create a safe and supportive learning environment. We also place great emphasis on personal suitability.
