Agunnaryd School is located in the eastern part of Ljungby municipality with nature close by. The school is a rural school with 50 students in grades F-6. All classes are age-mixed. Our after-school program has a department with about 30 children.

The school is small, and we offer a safe and accessible learning environment where students receive an equal education of high quality. Our work at the school aims to help students develop a good self-esteem and trust in their own abilities, creating a desire for continued learning in a safe and pleasant learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced and licensed teacher qualified to teach grades 4-6 or F-3 with a strong interest in school development. The position includes mentorship where you plan, implement, and follow up on teaching.

You actively support and motivate students in their development, both socially and academically. You recognize the importance of differentiated instruction and accessible learning environments that promote the education of all students in the best possible way, and you are driven to develop sustainable working methods together with colleagues and the principal.

You will have support from a well-functioning collaboration with the central student health team at both individual and group levels.

As a lead teacher, you will be a driving force in development and pedagogical issues and play a key role in leading collegial learning and the work team. You initiate and drive projects aimed at developing teaching and achieving goals. Together with the principal, you contribute to shaping the pedagogical leadership at the school, supported by current research and proven experience.

You work systematically to plan, implement, follow up, analyze, and thus improve teaching and develop the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is a requirement that you have a teaching license with qualifications to teach within the range of grades F-6, e.g., F-3, 4-6, or 1-7. Experience working in age-mixed groups is an advantage.

As a lead teacher in the school, you have several years of well-recommended previous experience as a teacher. It is required that you have at least four years of experience teaching in a curriculum-driven school. Experience from teaching in grades F-6 is advantageous. If you have previously mentored other teachers in pedagogical discussions and led processes that develop collegial learning, we consider this an advantage. Furthermore, experience as a lead teacher or team leader is also advantageous.

As a lead teacher in Ljungby municipality, you will have a permanent position as a teacher and a fixed-term appointment as a lead teacher.

You identify areas for development, initiate and drive processes, and lead collegial learning with a focus on the quality, equity, and progression of teaching.
