JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to work in a preschool where you can really make a difference? At Tolgs Preschool, you will be part of an engaged team that is in an exciting phase of change focused on pedagogical development and innovation. We are now looking for a licensed preschool teacher who wants to help create an inspiring and sustainable learning environment for our youngest citizens.

This spring, we will open our newly renovated facilities, with investments in new materials, furniture, and learning environments. Here you will have the opportunity to be involved from the start and influence the design of environments that inspire play, exploration, and creativity. Tolgs Preschool is beautifully located with nature just outside the door, and we see the outdoor environment as an obvious part of children's learning.

Tolgs Preschool is part of VÅRT, which also includes Valviken, Åby, Kullen, Fantasia, and Trummen (from January 1, 2026). We work in dialogue with the Reggio Emilia pedagogical philosophy and combine clear frameworks and quality-assured structures with the freedom to influence and create something unique at each unit. At VÅRT, we have lead teachers with specialized expertise in pedagogical issues and aesthetic learning processes (atelierista), who support development and collegial learning. Collegial learning and support from lead teachers are an integral part of our daily work.

Our operations are led by a principal with strategic responsibility and three assistant principals with operational management responsibilities. The leadership works closely with the work teams and lead teachers to create an organization where development and equity are at the center. We believe in collaborating across unit boundaries and highlighting each child's and teacher's strengths.

As a preschool teacher with us, you will work in a team and be responsible for the children's development and learning. You contribute to creating a creative and inspiring environment and actively participate in collegial learning with support from lead teachers. You will also help develop the operations and learning environments, both indoors and outdoors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. Training in pedagogical documentation through the Reggio Emilia Institute is an advantage. Experience in systematic quality work and project/process-oriented work methods is also advantageous.

You should also have good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude, as well as the ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is of great importance.
