JOB DESCRIPTION

Furuby School is located about 15 km east of Växjö. The school is beautifully situated near lakes and forests. We have students from preschool class to grade six, as well as an after-school program. There are approximately 85 students at the school and about 35 students in the after-school program.

Furuby School has the opportunity to offer many positive advantages of a small school. All staff know all students, students know each other, and there is a strong sense of community at the school and within the work teams. A safe place for students to develop both academically and socially. We focus heavily on safety and study peace, meeting each student based on their needs and strengths.

We currently have about 12 staff in various positions. The school is small, which allows the entire unit to collaborate on both organization and pedagogy. We are now looking for an educator primarily for the preschool class, where a portion of the position will also involve the after-school program. For the right person, there are good opportunities for extension and a potential permanent position. The role may include both openings and closings in the after-school program. In the preschool class, you will work with another educator to support the group. During the spring term 2026, there are 19 students in the preschool class.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants and can develop our school into a place where students thrive, are active in their learning, and develop their abilities. You should work from a holistic perspective where both joy and engagement are present, but also where structure and organization are visible. You are a clear leader and have a professional attitude. You have the ability to create a good working climate with colleagues and enjoy collaborating in different constellations.

We are looking for someone who has education to teach in the preschool class, and we prefer that you have relevant experience from previous positions. We place great importance on personal suitability and experience.
