Kungshögsskolan is a K-9 school with after-school care and adapted primary school activities. There are approximately 600 students and 120 staff at the school. Our operations are located in newly built, purpose-designed facilities that provide a good foundation for a safe and pleasant environment. The school has several working teams where operations are planned, implemented, evaluated, and developed towards the goals in the curriculum. With the help of our lead teachers, collegial learning is conducted based on various development areas.

We would like you to have a strong interest in the possibilities of IT technology in teaching, and you should have knowledge of how computers and iPads can be used as tools in the educational process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference every day.

Kungshögsskolan is looking for a committed and secure teacher for our adapted primary school for grade 13. With us, you will work in an environment where each student's needs are at the center, and where collaboration and pedagogical development are an integral part of everyday life.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning and conducting teaching based on the curriculum for adapted primary school, focusing on the individual needs and interests of the students. You will work closely with a competent team consisting of student assistants and other support staff to create a holistic approach to the student's school day. The position includes teaching subjects and/or subject areas as well as mentoring a small number of students. You adapt learning environments and materials, promote social interaction, and document students' development. Regular contact with guardians is a natural part of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has

  • Pedagogical education with qualifications to teach in adapted primary school
  • Experience working with students with disabilities
  • Good collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach

Knowledge of clear pedagogical practices and low-arousal responses is advantageous.

Preferred for the position: basic education as a licensed preschool teacher, after-school educator/teacher in after-school care, or teacher, as well as special education training with a focus on intellectual disabilities.

Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, language impairments, and students on the autism spectrum is desirable, as well as a good ability to collaborate and a solution-focused approach.

The requirement for employment is basic education as mentioned above and/or experience teaching in adapted primary school.
