JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Furutå School is a F-6 school with an attached after-school program. We have about 300 students and 45 employees. The school is located in the southern part of the city, in the Teleborg district, just a stone's throw away from both Växjö Lake and Södra Bergundasjön. Close to the school, we have a forest that is used by both the school and the after-school program.

The school's after-school program is currently divided into four departments, and we work with mixed-age groups F-1 and 2-3 as well as 4-6. In this role, you will collaborate with both the teachers in the after-school program and the teachers in F-2. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching based on Lgr22. You always have the student's learning in focus, based on a pedagogical, social, and physically accessible learning environment where you have the ability to create activities based on the student's needs and interests.

For us at Furutå, it is important to build trusting relationships and maintain the high level of comfort and safety that exists at the school. Here, you as a teacher in the after-school program are an important part of the students' entire school day. During school hours, you will teach a subject or work with recess activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with qualifications as a teacher for after-school programs. You have a good understanding of the school's and after-school program's governing documents.

You are a clear leader with good foresight and structure and have good communication with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are driven to develop the operations to achieve high quality for the students. You have the ability to create a positive working environment in the group through engagement, curiosity, safety, and see collaboration as a given to achieve success and development.

You adapt to changing circumstances and see solutions to problems that may arise.

Additionally, you have an interest in working with digital tools in teaching. We would like you to be qualified to teach music.
