JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Vikaholm Preschool is located in Teleborg, Växjö. We have about 105 children in four departments. We work in collaborative teams where children are divided into smaller groups throughout the day. We strive for our preschool to be a place where both young and old can feel a sense of community and develop into their best selves. Our preschool is characterized by an approach where children have a central role and are given ample space. Children should experience a daily routine in our education that is safe, fun, and educational. Our environment should be welcoming and offer places for meetings where children can develop their creativity, imagination, and independence. We focus heavily on our approach and our interactions with guardians, colleagues, and children.

As a preschool teacher with us, you will conduct teaching based on research and proven experience to meet the goals and intentions of the curriculum. Our prioritized goals are language and communication through, among other things, reading aloud, health and movement, influence and participation, and the development of the educational environment.

You create a holistic approach to care, development, and learning in education, with the aim of promoting each child's individual development and learning. You are responsible, together with the team, for creating playful and exploratory environments and contexts that ignite children's curiosity and promote their learning.

Children learn through play, and play is a fantastic tool for learning in various playful contexts. Through play, we can address the entire curriculum and its areas. Children learn and develop together with other children and educators. By acting as a teaching play pedagogue, we gain insights to further develop children's education.

Together with the team, you are responsible for systematic quality work by planning, documenting, following up, evaluating, and reflecting on teaching, both individually and in groups, using our learning platform Unikum.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is engaged, curious, and passionate about children's development. As a licensed preschool teacher, preferably with previous experience in the profession, you are a clear leader who can drive the work forward. You have strong collaboration skills and contribute both with creative ideas and have a responsive approach to your colleagues. With a positive attitude, you see solutions instead of obstacles and have a desire to continuously develop and learn new things. You value human interaction and have a professional and respectful demeanor towards everyone you meet.
