JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to the Education Administration!

With us, you have the opportunity to make a difference for our children and students. We are responsible for approximately 18,000 children and students and work every day to help them develop and achieve greater educational success. We want children to enter our program as curious, creative one-year-olds and leave us as engaged, knowledgeable, and independent 19-20-year-olds.

Ör School is a K-3 school with about 30 students. The school operates in a b-form. It is beautifully located in Ör. Ör School works for the well-being of all children and thus their ability to learn; our work is student-centered and holistic.

Ör School is a small unit where we work closely together with the best interests of the students in focus. You will work in a team with other teachers in K-class, primary school, and after-school care, placing great importance on collegial collaboration, always focusing on creating the best possible learning situation for the students. Through collaboration, all educators can contribute their expertise, allowing us to meet different students' learning needs. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues, students, parents, and the school's management.

We are looking for an engaged teacher for the after-school program at Ör.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you are expected to take an active responsibility for the program and help develop the school's and after-school program's activities together with other staff. Your responsibilities include planning and teaching students in and outside the classroom based on the curriculum, together with the teachers and staff in the after-school program.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you will work with other after-school staff to maintain the continuity of the program, planning, implementing, and evaluating activities based on governing documents, as well as being responsible for recess activities at the school.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a small unit where we operate closely together with the mindset that all students are everyone's students and where we help each other find solutions.

The position is 40%.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher in after-school care or a leisure educator.

You who apply have:

  • the ability to see and meet each student based on their individual circumstances.
  • a positive attitude and can contribute to the development of the program.
  • a professional approach.
  • a flexible working style and can collaborate in teams and within the unit.
  • a warm and open personality as well as the ability to set boundaries.
  • an interest in working with digital tools.

Even if you are studying to become a teacher in after-school care, have experience working as a teacher in after-school care, or have another educational background, you may be considered for employment. However, for a permanent position, a teaching license with authorization to teach in after-school care is required.

You have the ability to create a good working atmosphere with engagement, curiosity, and security in the group, and you see and meet students' various needs based on their different circumstances. You stimulate all students to develop and inform students and guardians in a good way. You also have a positive attitude, a flexible working style, good collaboration skills, and contribute to the development of the program.
