We are now looking for a Technical Specialist in the Network area for our client in central Gothenburg. In this role, you will act as a technical expert in dialogue with both customers and suppliers, responsible for defining requirements, designing, and further developing robust and future-proof solutions within IT infrastructure.

The role has a clear strategic focus where you, together with colleagues and partners, drive the development from on-prem environments to public cloud platforms. You have a clear specialty in networking, combined with broad and up-to-date knowledge in other infrastructure areas such as servers, identity, and client environments.

About the role

This role suits you who have solid practical experience in networking and want to continue developing in a more overarching and strategic specialist role. You will not work operationally hands-on, but focus on architecture, design, quality, and direction for the client's IT environment.

You will play a key role in the work of modernizing the infrastructure, with a particular focus on networking and network design in public cloud environments, where the goal is to enable a stable and secure transition from on-prem to Public Cloud.

You will start the assignment as a consultant via Nexer Infrastructure, with the ambition to subsequently transition to employment with the client.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert with a specialty in networking and a broad understanding of IT infrastructure

• Define requirements and act as a client towards suppliers within networking, infrastructure, and cloud

• Design and further develop network solutions, both on-prem and in public cloud environments

• Drive the work from on-prem to Public Cloud, focusing on networking and architecture

• Identify and manage complex technical issues in collaboration with internal teams and external parties

• Contribute to improvements in monitoring, log management, and capacity planning

• Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure stable, secure, and reliable solutions

• Document solutions and working methods and contribute to knowledge sharing

• Follow technological developments and proactively suggest improvements

We hope that you

• Have at least 3 years of documented experience in networking, preferably in larger or complex environments

• Have worked in a client or requirements role towards suppliers within IT infrastructure

• Have good experience in network design, operation, and management in on-prem environments

• Have experience with networking in public cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and an understanding of cloud architecture

• Have been involved in transformation or migration from on-prem to Public Cloud

• Have broad and up-to-date knowledge in:

  • Windows Server and/or Linux

  • Active Directory and identity management

  • Client environments (Windows 11 and macOS)

• Communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
