In our adaptation for the future social services, we have now introduced a second-line social service with a focus on children.

In this operation, we meet children who need coordinated and extensive interventions that are preceded by applications and investigations – assistance decisions.

The operation consists of groups within investigations for children and youth, an intervention group, and foster care/contact activities. Each group is led by a unit manager, and the operation as a whole is managed by an area manager. In the investigation groups, we work family- and target group-oriented and based on evidence and knowledge-based methods.

The main responsibility of foster care is for the children and youth who are placed in foster homes by Haninge municipality. The goal of the operation is to ensure that the children/youth have the conditions for favorable development. To enable this, we work in teams with the children's best interests in focus.

In your role as a child secretary, you will be offered;

  • Smaller groups with proximity to group leaders
  • Possibility for remote work
  • Closer support in case handling and introduction through group leaders
  • There is an established structure for regular support such as case discussions and external supervision
  • Specialist social workers with an overarching mission in areas such as method support, implementation, and recurring training
  • SIP coordinators to support children who need SIP meetings
  • Placement coordinators to assist in seeking external placement forms and managing contracts
  • Administrators tasked with relieving and supporting

Your mission

As a child secretary, you are the child's/youth's social worker and are responsible for following up on the placement in collaboration with foster care secretaries, guardians, and foster homes.

Your qualifications

  • Degree in social work
  • Experience working within the social services' authority in the area of children and youth
  • Experience working in foster care
  • Correct Swedish in speech and writing
  • Knowledge of BBIC
  • Driving license B

Your competence

As a social worker with us, it is natural that you enjoy collaborating with others, but you can also work independently.

  • You easily create good relationships, are attentive, and clear in your communication.
  • You have good knowledge of relevant legislation, child development, and keep up with current research.
  • You are structured and have the ability to organize, plan, and coordinate.
  • We are looking for someone who can see the opportunities in complex social work, collaborates easily, is flexible, curious, and has the children's best interests at heart.
  • We consider it self-evident that you are responsible, have integrity, and value quality.
