Youth Coordinator in Nacka

Do you want to work closely with young people and contribute to increased safety in Nacka? We are looking for two youth coordinators for temporary positions due to parental leave. The role is suitable for you who want a meaningful and varied assignment where relationship-building is combined with leadership and collaboration, in an organization with a clear mission and good collegial support.

Your Assignment

As a youth coordinator, you will have a coordinating role in the municipality's outreach and preventive work for young people. A central part of the assignment is to lead the field operation Polarna, young people who work to create safety in Nacka, and to be present in youth environments together with them, as well as provide Polarna with support, structure, and guidance in their daily work.

You contribute to effective collaboration with schools, recreational activities, police, and other stakeholders, helping to create continuity for young people who need support. The work involves both fieldwork and coordination, as well as some administration.

Your Role Includes:

  • Leading Polarna in outreach youth work
  • Being responsible for work shifts, work environment, and safety
  • Guiding and training polar youth
  • Working to create safety and prevent crime in youth environments
  • Lecturing to larger groups in schools
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Referring to the right internal services

Your Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work or another relevant higher education, such as behavioral science
  • Experience working with young people
  • A valid driver's license and experience driving for work
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Good digital skills

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in outreach fieldwork
  • Experience lecturing in front of groups
  • A background in recreational or youth center activities
  • Experience driving larger vehicles in environments with many stimuli
  • Additional language skills

Is This You?

You are a calm, stable, and responsible person with a genuine commitment to young people. You remain calm in critical situations, dare to take a stand, and can meet both young people and parents in a respectful and clear manner. You work in a low-arousal manner and have the ability to make decisions even when the pace is high.

You are flexible in your working style and comfortable speaking in front of groups, adapting your communication to the target audience and situation. You thrive in a varied role where you switch between fieldwork, leadership, and collaboration.

We Offer

We offer a meaningful and varied assignment where you make a concrete difference for young people in Nacka. You will be part of a larger open care operation that works with children, youth, and families, where collaboration and clear division of responsibilities are crucial to not losing young people between different interventions.

The work environment is characterized by high satisfaction, low staff turnover, and close teamwork. You will meet accessible and engaged colleagues and managers who take responsibility for both their assignments and the overall operation.
