Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Hässelby-Vällingby district administration is located in western Stockholm, close to beautiful nature areas and good transport links. We are about 1,700 proud and dedicated employees who contribute high-quality service to the residents of the district every day. Our work environment is characterized by collaboration, courage, and participation. Our strength lies in the diversity among residents, which is also reflected in our employees. Together, we make a difference!
Welcome to us
The Sibling Unit is one of five units within the Area of Children and Youth, which belongs to the Department of Individual and Family.
Together, we create an easily accessible social service that is based on the needs of the residents. To work more closely with our clients and build trust, we continuously develop our working methods and approaches. The Sibling Unit works for the district's children and their families in both authority exercise and follow-up of decision-making interventions.
The Sibling Unit consists of 15 social workers, two team leaders, and three contact secretaries tasked with recruiting and supervising contact families and contact persons. We provide support to children and young people and their families, and our main tasks within the Sibling Unit are to investigate and follow up on interventions for children and young people aged 0-18/20 who are siblings. We have close collaboration with other authorities and actors and strive to utilize the families' and their networks' own resources as much as possible. Within our unit, we also place great emphasis on children's participation.
We offer
We offer a fun and developing assignment where your commitment to children and young people, social work, and the opportunity to release resources for people in vulnerable life situations is a central part of the work. With us, you will have the opportunity to lead engaged employees and further develop a high-quality operation.
- The best thing about working here is the good atmosphere. It is a collegial collaboration, open communication, a respectful atmosphere, and high competence among employees and managers. I feel appreciated, both as a person and for the work I do. (Quote from an employee)
