Job Advertisement: Assistant at the Department of Subject Didactics

The Department of Subject Didactics (IÄD) is characterized by a dynamic educational and research environment.

The department's educational activities encompass education at the undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels. In undergraduate education, the activities are largely linked to teacher training programs, but also to independent courses and commissioned education. The number of employees at the department currently amounts to about 250 people.

The position is located at the independent unit National Tests in SFI, which constructs national tests in municipal adult education in Swedish for immigrants (SFI) on behalf of the Swedish National Agency for Education. We are now looking for an assistant to support the operations with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• handling and sorting incoming mail,
• registering/transcribing student responses from paper tests to Excel,
• preparing paper materials for archiving,
• scanning paper materials,
• occasionally visiting schools and testing the exams on students.

Apart from potential travel, the work will be conducted at the unit's premises at Stockholm University. Other administrative tasks may also occur.

Qualifications

The applicant must be enrolled in education at the undergraduate or advanced level.

We are looking for someone who:

• has the ability to work systematically and accurately,
• has very good oral and written skills in Swedish,
• is experienced in working with Excel,
• has an interest in language and language learning.

It is advantageous if you:

• are studying to become a teacher at Stockholm University,
• are taking courses or programs in Swedish as a second language at Stockholm University,
• have experience working with the R program.

We place great importance on your personal suitability. To succeed in your work as an assistant, you are meticulous and systematic. Since the work involves continuous contact with the unit's test developers, you have a good ability to collaborate and communicate, both in writing and verbally.

About the Position

The position comprises 30-50% of full-time and is temporary until 2026-06-30, with the possibility of extension. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
