Legal Officer at Kammarkollegiet

As a legal officer at Kammarkollegiet, you will work closely with the operations and help shape a legally secure authority at the forefront!
Kammarkollegiet is a government agency with a long history and a broad and differentiated societal mission. The agency works with legal services, asset management, insurance solutions, and administrative assignments for the state, municipalities, and regions.
The Legal Secretariat is the agency's support and governance function for information management and legal matters. This means that the Legal Secretariat is responsible for archives, registries, and coordination of information management within Kammarkollegiet, as well as ensuring that the agency complies with the Freedom of the Press Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Archives Act, and other relevant legislation. The Legal Secretariat is also overall responsible for administrative law issues, monitors cross-agency legislation, and coordinates consultation work, policy, and method development within its area of operations.
The Role of Legal Officer
As a legal officer, you will collaborate within the department, with other support functions, and with the agency's other departments to provide legal guidance and support. The work has a very broad legal focus and scope, including work with certain legal special legislation. The job also includes producing guidance and support documents, conducting training, and participating as an expert in various development projects and working groups. You will contribute to the development of legal governance and provide support to all operational areas within the agency. You are also expected to contribute to the Legal Secretariat's work on operational development within the framework of the agency's support and governance function in legal matters.
Qualifications
We are now looking for a qualified lawyer who meets the following requirements:
- Swedish law degree (jur.kand./juristexamen) (180/270 credits)
- Notarial qualification or equivalent professional experience from a court and/or government agency deemed relevant for the position
- At least five years of documented and relevant experience from independent qualified legal work in a government agency or public sector.
- Good knowledge of administrative law, public access and secrecy, as well as data protection issues.
- Very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
Meritorious for the position is:
- Experience with government procurement.
- Current experience in one or more of the following legal areas: security protection, IT security (information security), protected procurement, and contract law
- Experience in other legal areas within the agency's core operations
- Worked as a legal officer or in a similar role at another government agency.
Personal Qualities
As a person, you are driven, development-oriented, and able to work independently and results-oriented. You are meticulous and structured with a good ability to coordinate and drive work forward. You are flexible, responsive, and have an easy time collaborating with others.
Furthermore, you must be adaptable to new situations and able to work with legal issues even outside your core competence, even under time pressure.
As a lawyer, you are confident in your professional practice, accustomed to providing solutions based on the needs, roles, and assignments of the operations.
You have an interest and aptitude for working cross-sectorally and enjoy working consultatively.

More Information
As the position may be placed in a security class, Swedish citizenship is required. A security review with a background check may be conducted before employment. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The employment is a permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period. We are located in nice activity-based premises in Gamla Stan in central Stockholm, with the possibility of remote work as the operations allow.
