Admissions Officer at the Student Department

The Student Department is part of the university administration and is tasked with providing support and services to students before, during, and after their studies, as well as handling student matters.

The Student Department also provides operational support to the university's institutions, faculties, areas, and management. With a focus on the quality of education, the activities of the Student Department should be characterized by professionalism, efficiency, legal certainty, and accessibility.

Within the section for admissions and student communication, which is part of the Student Department, responsibilities include not only admissions but also tuition fees and the higher education entrance exam, as well as the student communication group. The Student Department consists of approximately 150 people, and the operations are conducted in the Student House on the university campus.

We are currently seeking a driven admissions officer for a temporary position at the Student Department. With us, you will have the opportunity to be part of an academic environment in an independent role with many points of contact.

Job Responsibilities

As an admissions officer, your main task will be to process applications for courses and programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A large part of this work involves assessing qualifications from both national and international applicants and making decisions based on current regulations.

The group's work is characterized by collaboration, participation, and offers great opportunities to influence and develop. The work also involves continuous contact with institutions and students. You are also expected to participate in other relevant tasks within the Student Department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree.
• Experience working as an officer in education, admissions, or another relevant area.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Meritorious are:

• Experience working at a government agency.
• Good knowledge of educational administrative processes at a higher education institution.
• Assessment of international secondary and academic qualifications in the admissions system NyA.
• Experience with Ladok.

Personal Attributes

To succeed in this role, we see that you are skilled at working independently, have an easy time creating contacts, and possess excellent communication skills. You should also be able to collaborate easily, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced and changing work situation.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About the Employment

The position is full-time and temporary until 2027-08-31. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
