to apply for the job
Do you want to apply your knowledge in social work in practice and make a real difference for people in their daily lives? As a case officer with us, you will have a meaningful summer job where you meet people in various life situations and contribute to ensuring they receive the right support based on their needs.
For the summer, we are looking for case officers for the decision unit within care and support. The positions are summer jobs starting as soon as possible by agreement and ending in late August.
YOUR ROLE
As a case officer, you are responsible for investigating and making decisions about interventions according to the Social Services Act. The work involves processing applications, having dialogues with individuals, and, if necessary, conducting home visits. You will also be in contact with relatives and collaborate with both internal operations and external actors.
The assignment involves independent work where you plan your day based on current cases, while also being part of a team where collaboration and support are a natural part of the working method. During the summer, you contribute to ensuring that case management runs smoothly even during the holiday period and that cases are handled in a legally secure and professional manner.
YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or someone studying to become a social worker who has completed at least 5 semesters of their education. Since home visits are part of the assignment, you need to have a valid driver's license (B).
You express yourself clearly and professionally in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have a good understanding of the legislation governing the work, particularly the Social Services Act.
It is an advantage if you have experience from the services that you will collaborate with and make decisions for as a case officer, such as home care, nursing homes, and day activities. It is also beneficial if you are comfortable working in digital systems and have good general computer skills.
To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work in a structured manner and plan your work well, even when you have multiple parallel cases. You are confident in yourself and your assessments, even in situations where decisions may be questioned. In meetings with people in various life situations, you are considerate, attentive, and show respect and understanding. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate with others and contribute to a non-prestigious work environment focused on common goals.
We welcome both those at the beginning of their careers and those with some prior experience. New perspectives and diverse experiences strengthen the workgroup.
YOUR NEW WORKPLACE
With us, you will be part of the decision unit within care and support – an engaged team of about 30 employees. Here, you will meet a stable and experienced workgroup where many have worked for a long time, and where collaboration and knowledge exchange are a natural part of everyday life.
We are based at the City Hall in Skellefteå and work activity-based. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
GOOD TO KNOW
We recruit based on competence and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a personal letter, you will answer some selection questions and attach an updated CV. There may also be tests as part of the process.
