We at Humana are now looking for several personal assistants for our clients in Skellefteå and nearby villages, who want to work during the summer of 2026! About the position

In the role of personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). Each person granted assistance is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You will uphold the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to a smooth daily life. The client's individual needs dictate the workday, which may include assistance with mobility, personal care, training and communication, as well as everyday chores and activities inside and outside the home.

To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important to have good chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. Each assistance is unique, and the client's individual needs dictate what you will do and how the working hours will look. Therefore, during the recruitment process, we will find out more about you and who you are to be able to find a mutual match between you and the client. You will be informed during the recruitment process about which client(s) you will be working with and what the work routines are like there.

At Humana, it is important that both you as a new assistant and the client feel secure in the collaboration with each other. Therefore, all new assistants receive a tailored introduction, both to the professional role and to the specific client you will be working with.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is good at building relationships, has a strong commitment, wants to take responsibility, and can easily adapt to new situations. Since all our clients have different needs and wishes, we ask you to respond as clearly and thoroughly as possible to the selection questions – this increases the chance that we can match you with the right assignment.

Working hours and employment rate

As a summer substitute, you will work as an hourly worker or on a temporary contract with a schedule for one or more of our clients. Working hours vary according to each client's needs and can range from day, evening, night, weekdays, and weekends. We match your availability with the client's needs. Please describe any preferences regarding working hours in your application.

Start date

There may be an opportunity to start earlier and work as an hourly worker before the summer substitute position begins. Please indicate in your application if this is of interest to you and when you would be available to start. Otherwise, the start date for the summer substitute position will be according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid identification and any documents that support your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a police record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
