Social Worker at the Adult Unit

At the Adult Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with people in difficult life situations and be part of their journey towards change.

We work with adults who need support regarding harmful use and addiction, as well as violence in close relationships. We also handle issues related to housing and social contracts, making the work both broad and meaningful. We are the first contact for citizens where we conduct preliminary assessments and coordinate investigations and assistance for individuals. There is also an opportunity to partially work at the Social Emergency Service.

The Adult Unit consists of two teams with nearly 30 employees who work with reception, support, and authority functions in areas such as addiction, violence in close relationships, and housing. The unit also has managers and team leaders who provide support in daily work. We are now looking for two social workers who want to work with adult issues and are passionate about our target groups!

Job Responsibilities

You will work with the target group of adults aged 18 and older, but the target group may vary if we need to assist other units. Primarily with individuals with harmful use and addiction, often in combination with mental health issues. Handling applications for housing is also part of your responsibilities.

At the Adult Unit, we have a clear focus on providing our citizens with the best possible support at home. We believe this is best achieved through collaboration between our units and other actors around the individual. Being flexible in finding the best solutions for the individuals you work with in collaboration with others will therefore be an important part of your work. You will have close contact with clients, where you offer support, guidance, and motivational work. You are an important part of creating safety and stability, both through conversation support and through concrete interventions. In this role, you will also actively participate in and drive the development of the operations forward with a focus on change work.

The work consists of authority functions, namely:

• Follow-up

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has experience in authority functions. We prefer that you have experience working with individuals with harmful use and addiction, as well as handling cases according to LVM and LVU, and experience with homelessness. Perhaps you also have experience working with violence in close relationships and honor-related issues. You preferably also have training and experience in working with ASI, MI, FREDA, solution-focused approaches, and Treserva.

You have a good ability to meet and listen to people. You are also good at taking your own initiatives and have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions. The work is unpredictable, which requires flexibility and the ability to reprioritize at short notice. Since we often meet people in difficult life situations, it is important that you as a person are secure and stable. You collaborate well with other professionals and thrive in organizations that are open to change with a focus on development. Furthermore, you can express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing, and you have strong skills in documentation and legally secure handling. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The position requires a valid driver's license (B).
