Description

The short-term accommodation Lyan offers short-term stays and short-term supervision for children and young people with disabilities.

Short-term stays and short-term supervision can be granted with support from the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons. The short-term accommodation Lyan has been operated as an intrapreneurship since 2014-01-01.

Lyan has five places for around-the-clock stays. The aim of the operation is to enable relatives to receive relief in care but also to offer a change of environment and recreation for the children/youth.

Job Responsibilities

As a residential supervisor, your duties include caring for the children/youth, medication management, cleaning, purchasing groceries, cooking, and some administrative tasks. The job also involves providing children with meaningful leisure time, which means participating in the activities that the children/youth engage in, such as going to the movies, walking around town, taking walks, and playing outdoors and indoors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience working with children and youth. It is an advantage if you have experience working with children who have disabilities. You should be responsible, reliable, and responsive to the children's needs. You meet the children with respect and take their individual needs and wishes into account. Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required to perform care documentation and communicate with the children.

We primarily seek those who have studied or are studying in the health and care program, alternatively studied child and leisure or preschool teacher program. Experience in care work or social work is an advantage. Good knowledge and familiarity with disabilities, sign language support, and low-arousal responses are also advantageous. Since you will be working with minors, it is a requirement that you also submit a criminal record extract, which can be ordered from the Police's website. You must be at least 18 years old.

A driver's license (B) is desirable.

Summer Bonus

If you work with us this summer during the period 2025-06-15 - 2025-08-23, you may be entitled to a bonus if you work at least 4 consecutive weeks.

• The requirement for a bonus is that you work at least 75% and at least 4 weeks.
• 4 weeks of consecutive work at 75% or more = 3000 SEK bonus.
• 8 weeks of consecutive work at 75% or more = 6000 SEK bonus.

The bonus payment will be made after the summer period based on any absence.

Conditions

We are looking for summer substitutes during weeks 25-33; it may also be relevant to have work both before and after this period. We are looking for both day staff (day, evening, weekend) and awake night staff.

You must be at least 18 years old.

If you are interested in working as a substitute, training will be arranged by agreement.
