School Social Worker

With us, you will work in a dynamic environment where the best interests of the student are always at the center.
About the Role
As a school social worker with us, you are a central and important key person. You contribute the psychosocial expertise to the school's educational everyday life and work closely with the school nurse and other professionals in our student health team (EHT). Your main focus will be on preventive and health-promoting work.
Your main responsibilities:
- Preventive and Promoting Work: Drive and develop initiatives at the individual, group, and organizational levels to promote a safe and good learning environment.
- Conversation Support: Offer motivating, supportive, and guiding conversations to students, and provide advice and consultation to guardians and educational staff as needed.
- Active EHT Work: Contribute with psychosocial assessments and mappings in the interdisciplinary work of the student health team.
- External Collaboration: Act as the school's link and maintain good contact and collaboration with external actors, such as Social Services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Police Authority.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. It is highly meritorious if you have further education or specific orientation towards the role of school social worker. We consider it a given that you are well acquainted with and have previous experience working within a student health team.
Personal Qualities We Highly Value:
- Confident and Communicative: You are confident in your professional role and have a great ability to communicate and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external partners.
- Solution-Focused and Brave: You have a solution-oriented approach. You are not afraid of conflict but rather see conflict management and difficult conversations as a natural part of the process of helping and guiding students forward.
- Flexible: The school environment is changing, and you thrive on being able to quickly prioritize and adapt your work based on the situations and needs that arise during the workday.
We place great importance on personal suitability for the position.
