About the role and your responsibilities

As a treatment educator, you are the spider in the web.

We believe in a holistic approach where we see the whole person, not just a specific problem. We strive to gain a comprehensive view of the individual, where we work side by side together.

Preventive work. You work cross-professionally to identify needs early and create security. In Norsjö, it is not enough to just put out fires – we want to prevent them from occurring. The preventive work is about being one step ahead and creating environments where people can grow and thrive.

Early interventions. Identifying risk factors at an early stage and providing the right support before challenges become significant. This can involve everything from support in the home environment to parent meetings, conversations with youth, or health-promoting activities in schools. You are there where the need exists.

Promoting environments. Through pedagogical methods, you build the individual's own ability and resilience. We focus on strengthening what is healthy and functional.

Environmental monitoring. Actively following trends and patterns in the local community to adapt our efforts to the current needs of our residents.

Pedagogical guidance. Using methods such as MI (Motivational Interviewing) and CBT, you support individuals in their development.

Quality and follow-up. Documentation, supervision, and continuous follow-up are natural parts of your daily routine to ensure the highest quality in our support.

Collaboration with civil society. In a municipality like Norsjö, community life and passionate individuals are a tremendous asset. You serve as a link between professional efforts and the social context that exists in the community.

Common goals. Collaboration means putting prestige aside. We work towards the same vision – to create "the world's best everyday life" – and leverage each other's expertise to get there.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone driven by making a difference and who values a professional approach in every interaction. We prefer that you have training as a treatment educator or other equivalent education. Experience and knowledge in MI, CBT, or other relevant pedagogical methods are advantageous. You are comfortable working with journal systems and documenting and following up on interventions in a structured manner.

If you do not have relevant education for the role, do not hesitate to apply; we place great emphasis on personal suitability and personal meetings. To thrive in the role, you need to have a high degree of empathy and a genuine understanding of other people's situations. You are secure in your professional role and act in accordance with our values - positivity, professionalism - engagement, and respect.

Do you want to be a part of our team? Submit your application and tell us how you want to contribute to creating the world's best everyday life for the residents of Norsjö municipality!
