The social services for individuals and families (IFO) in Nordmaling municipality consists of 35 employees and is also responsible for the authority's operations for Bjurholm municipality. The operations are divided into five areas (VO): Children, Youth & Family, Adults, Open Care, Support & Care, and Management & Support.

We are now looking for a social worker in the Adult area

VO Adults consists of six social workers who handle cases related to financial assistance, assistance related to harmful use and dependence, housing support, social psychiatry, and budget and debt counseling. The group also includes the Reception Unit for Children, Youth, and Adults. The group is led with close support from a group leader and a manager.

The role and tasks

As a social worker in the Adult area, you will meet individuals aged 18 and older. The target group consists of individuals with harmful use and dependence, often in combination with mental health issues. You will also work with individuals with other psychosocial problems, e.g., individuals exposed to violence. The work is carried out based on the laws SoL and LVM.

The work involves receiving applications/reports, investigating, assessing, and making decisions within the area in accordance with applicable legislation. In the role as a case manager within social services, several responsibilities are included, such as meeting clients and other stakeholders with a professional approach, striving for shared decision-making with clients, ensuring clients' legal security, and contributing to a sustainable, equitable operation that respects children's rights. Presenting cases in political committees and courts is part of the job. Since the needs of different target groups within social services may vary over time, work with other target groups may occur periodically.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and a B driver's license as travel in the service is required. You should also have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Experience with authority operations within social services is an advantage, especially in the Adult area. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge/experience of working with substance abuse and/or violence as well as training in ASI, MI, and FREDA.

• Cooperation skills: You care about creating good relationships with those you meet. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.
