Social Worker for the Health Centers in Southern Lapland

The medical clinics are part of the southern Lapland local healthcare area, which is a model area in the transition to close care. With effective collaboration and a focus on the citizen, we drive important change efforts within the region and together with the municipality. Clinical assessments at a distance and digital healthcare meetings are developing rapidly and are an important part of ensuring good, close, and accessible care in this area. Therefore, it is no coincidence that we are at the forefront in this area. The medical clinic model, which is an important starting point for close care, shapes both the approach and working methods in the daily operations.

Vilhelmina, Åsele, and Dorotea medical clinics are part of the same basic unit and are located in southern Lapland, fifty kilometers apart. The nearest hospital is Lycksele, where the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed.

Our medical clinics function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to emergency care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and laboratory. Our use of telemedicine is well developed. Here you will find occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, social workers, doctors, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide emergency medical care as well as regular work at the health center and have a well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and with the municipalities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

You will work with psychosocial treatment both individually and in groups. You will assess, investigate, and treat mild to moderate mental health issues. You will work individually with assessments and treatment interventions, but you will also work in a team around the patient together with other professionals at the health center.

The work is conducted in both Åsele and Dorotea. A B driver's license is required as travel between the locations occurs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker. It is an advantage if you also have training as a healthcare social worker and/or experience in CBT level 1.

You are flexible, have good teamwork skills, and can work independently. You are positive towards change initiatives and actively contribute to a good work environment.
