ABOUT THE JOB
Do you want to play a key role in the work for a southern Lapland free from violence?
The Center Against Violence (CMV) works to prevent and counteract violence in close relationships. Through collaboration with various community actors, we aim to increase knowledge, strengthen support for victims of violence and perpetrators to contribute to a society free from violence. The operation is a collaboration between eight municipalities – Lycksele, Dorotea, Malå, Norsjö, Sorsele, Storuman, Vilhelmina, and Åsele – as well as Region Västerbotten. The operation is based in Lycksele but is conducted throughout the area based on individual needs.
We are now looking for two secure and engaged therapists who want to strengthen our team. As a therapist, you will provide counseling and support conversations to adults, children, and young people – both victims of violence and perpetrators – focusing on creating safety, promoting change, and supporting recovery. You work motivationally and strengthen the individual's own resources based on needs and life situations. CMV also offers support for honor-related violence, sex for compensation, and human trafficking, as well as for individuals who want to stop purchasing sex. The work is carried out in close collaboration with social services, healthcare, and other community actors.
The assignment includes planning, documentation, and follow-up of interventions, as well as informing and educating about violence in close relationships, both internally and externally. The work is varied and combines conversation therapy, knowledge dissemination, and collaboration. You will be part of an engaged team with high competence and will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and influence the development of the operation. Recruitment will take place on the condition that necessary decisions are made.
YOUR PROFILE
We believe in the right competence in the right place.
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has an education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with violence in close relationships and/or treatment in some form. It is desirable that you have experience of authority exercise within individual and family care and/or experience leading conversation support in some form. Since the operation covers a large geographical area, it is required that you can move freely by car and bus. A B driver's license and driving experience are therefore a requirement.
You are a secure person with a good ability to meet and listen to people and have good communication skills in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You have a respectful and empathetic approach and the ability to create good relationships with both clients and colleagues. You are used to collaborating with other professional groups with different assignments and are good at taking in different perspectives. The work requires you to be flexible, responsible, and have a genuine desire to help people change. In treatment work directed at individuals, you often work alone, so you need to be self-sufficient and manage your work independently.
We are a value-driven organization and want your approach and actions to align with our values – Compassion, Togetherness, and Drive. Great emphasis will therefore be placed on personal suitability.
