Support Staff for Televägen 1

YOUR ROLE

As support staff, you will work to support and assist individuals based on their individual needs, wishes, and circumstances. The work is based on implementation plans and is carried out with clear pedagogical methods, structure, and a professional approach.

In this role, you will meet individuals who need security, predictability, and a calm demeanor. The work may involve situations where anxiety or emotional distress occurs, which requires you to work preventively, maintain calmness, and use low-affect responses. You will assist and support in various daily situations with respect, attentiveness, and stability. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues to create a safe and functioning whole around the individual.

There are opportunities for night shifts (awake night) as well as daytime work, which includes days, on-call, and every other weekend. Night work will be introduced only after you have become familiar with the organization and the residents.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with experience in work where support, service, adaptation, and a professional approach have been central parts of the mission.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form and can communicate clearly and document in your work. A passing grade in basic Swedish or Swedish as a second language is required, as well as the physical ability to perform the tasks included in the role.

You have knowledge and understanding of disabilities and how they can affect an individual's daily life. You work systematically and consciously in your interactions with people and have experience with low-affect responses. You can adapt your approach based on different needs and situations.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, or substance abuse is advantageous, as is experience with clear pedagogical methods. You are self-assured, can maintain calm in challenging situations, and contribute to a positive collaborative climate. Knowledge of Finnish, Sámi, or sign language is a plus.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Televägen 1 is a smaller, cohesive organization where several residents live in the same building. The organization is characterized by close collaboration, clear structures, and shared responsibility in daily life.

The work focuses on preventive measures through relationship-building, structure, and a shared approach within the staff group. Daily life can be both calm and active, with joint activities and everyday tasks. Meals such as lunch and dinner are prepared together, and everyone in the workgroup helps out.

The organization is in a startup phase. The workgroup will consist of about ten employees who together staff the organization around the clock. Collaboration is characterized by close dialogue, shared responsibility, and continuity as a foundation.

GOOD TO KNOW

The position is subject to a requirement for a criminal record extract according to the law. Before a potential job offer, you must present an extract from the criminal record for work with elderly persons or persons with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority.
