Social Worker for the Financial Support Unit

The Financial Support Unit works with families and individuals applying for financial assistance, known as financial support. We provide information about rights and obligations and investigate the right to financial assistance for those who apply. We aim to help individuals with various interventions designed to enable them to become self-sufficient as soon as possible. The goal is for each person to achieve self-sufficiency and thus live an independent life. The unit also handles estate cases.

We are now looking for two social workers!

Your responsibilities

As a social worker within financial support, you will investigate and decide on financial assistance and handle estate cases. You will provide information and advice to the public and in individual matters regarding the right to financial support and other assistance. The role involves regular contact with both individuals and internal and external stakeholders.

About you

We are looking for someone with a genuine commitment to people and an interest in how society functions as a whole. To work with a holistic perspective in your cases, it is important that you have a good understanding of the roles and regulations of other authorities and stakeholders. You are good at creating and maintaining contacts, and in your work style, you are solution-oriented, attentive, meticulous, and responsible. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, work independently but are also a team player who sees it as natural to step in and support colleagues and operations when needed. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience in handling financial support cases
