Workplace

The individual and family care in Nordmaling municipality has about 35 employees and is also responsible for operations for Bjurholm municipality. The operations are divided into five areas (VO): Children, Youth & Family, Adults, Open Care, Support & Care, and Management & Support.

We are now looking for two social workers for the VO Children, Youth, and Family. One position is permanent and one is a temporary position until 270130 with the possibility of extension. In the group, social workers work with the support of a team leader with authority in the area of social child and youth care.

The role and tasks

In your daily work as a social worker in social child and youth care, you are responsible for the preliminary assessment of incoming reports, investigations, and decision-making according to the Social Services Act, as well as follow-up of interventions and placements.

You work according to BBIC with a strength-based approach and have a clear focus on children's safe upbringing conditions.

You work to fulfill the organization's goals, participate in the work of developing and improving the quality of the operations, and contribute to and safeguard a good working environment.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You also need to have a B driver's license.

It is a merit if you have;

• experience working with social services' authority in general and social child and youth care in particular.
• good knowledge of social services' assignments and current legislation.
• experience and training in BBIC and strength-based methods in social work.

Personal qualities/abilities that are important for success in the role are that you;

• are flexible and can adapt your approach when circumstances suddenly change.
• are good at creating collaboration with others – you are attentive and communicate clearly.
