The Kammarkollegiet is now looking for an engaged employee for the Legal Secretariat who wants to take an active role in the development of our digital information management. The Kammarkollegiet is a government agency with a long history and a broad and differentiated social mission. The agency works, among other things, with legal services, asset management, insurance solutions, and administrative assignments for the state, municipalities, and regions.

The Legal Secretariat is the agency's support and governance function within information management and legal matters. This means that the Legal Secretariat is responsible for archives, registration, and coordination of information management within the Kammarkollegiet, as well as ensuring that the agency complies with the Freedom of the Press Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Archives Act, and other relevant legislation. The Legal Secretariat is also responsible for administrative law issues, monitors cross-agency legislation, and coordinates referral work, policy, and method development within its area of operations.

Job Responsibilities

You will work both strategically and operationally in this role. A large part of the work involves contributing to the development of the agency's digital information management.

You will provide ongoing support, advice, and training to colleagues in archive and information management issues. The Legal Secretariat has close collaboration and cooperation with other functions and roles.

Together with the Kammarkollegiet's archivists and registrars, you will play an important role in ensuring that the agency complies with relevant regulations and manages information correctly.

The work also includes traditional archivist and registrar tasks, such as:

  • registration and filing of documents
  • maintenance of the physical archive
  • preparation of preservation and disposal investigations as well as preservation plans
  • handling cases in document and case management systems
  • assisting in the disclosure of public documents

Are you our new colleague?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • academic education of 180/120 credits with at least 60/40 credits in archival science, or other education that the employer finds relevant for the position
  • good knowledge of the Archives Act and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act
  • experience or interest in digital information management

Meritorious

  • experience in digital long-term preservation and/or e-archives
  • experience with document and case management systems
  • experience with classic registrar tasks
  • experience with disposal investigations and preservation plans
  • current experience working as an archivist that the employer assesses as relevant for the position

You work with a holistic view, can think strategically without losing focus on details, and have a pedagogical approach with an interest in sharing your knowledge. You come with solutions based on the organization's needs, roles, and assignments and have an interest and aptitude for working cross-sectorally.

You are flexible, service-oriented, and enjoy providing support to others. At the same time, you are self-driven and have a good ability to coordinate and drive your work forward. You should also enjoy working in a team. The role involves many points of contact, which requires you to be unpretentious, communicative, and have an easy time building good relationships.

More Information

The position is a temporary position with a duration of one year with the possibility of extension. Start date as soon as possible (by agreement). The position is located in Stockholm. We are situated in pleasant newly renovated premises centrally on Slottsbacken in Gamla Stan.
