We are looking for a licensed librarian.

International English School in Norrtälje opened in 2024 and currently has around 400 students in grades F–9.

Your role with us

As a school librarian, you will be responsible for leading the school's library and ensuring that it is integrated into the school's educational organization. You will work with various methods to strengthen students' reading skills, both through your own lessons and initiatives, as well as in collaboration with teaching staff and after-school personnel. You will also work to support the school's core values through work with various groups, highlighting literature related to the school's values, and supporting students in need of different forms of adaptations. You will be guided and supported by the Academic Manager. You will also be part of the IES librarian network and receive ongoing support from the Librarian Coordinator.

We are looking for someone who

• The role of Librarian at IESN will not be an ordinary librarian undertaking; at IESN we go the extra mile, recognizing that working with students is more than just a simple job.
• The IESN Librarian will be an active member of the academics team, working alongside the Head of Academics.
• This role will naturally entail cataloguing and managing an active school library, but it will also involve working alongside the students.
• Our librarian needs to be able to instruct and assist learning, both inside classes and individually with students.
• In addition, the IESN Librarian will implement study skills techniques and 'track' student academic progress as we attempt to become the best academically performing school in town.
• Only committed professionals who want to 'make a difference' ought to apply.
