The Movement Organ Center in Umeå is responsible for Orthopedics in the northern healthcare region, which includes the four northernmost counties. The Movement Organ Center is divided into the sections of Arthroplasty and Tumor, Factum, Trauma, and Spine, all of which conduct thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually.

Within the Movement Organ Center in Umeå, there are outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, a day surgery unit, an administrative unit, and an orthopedic technical center. Our care is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged in the patient's care process and collaborate for the best results with the vision of keeping Norrland on its feet and in motion.

The orthopedic clinic in Umeå conducts planned activities with new and follow-up visits for orthopedic conditions. A casting workshop and wound clinic are part of the operations. We collaborate with several other clinics and conduct multidisciplinary rounds and joint consultations.

Our patient groups range in all ages, from our youngest to our oldest.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the orthopedic clinic, you will work with highly specialized orthopedic healthcare.

Your tasks will include assessing, instructing, and planning/structuring rehabilitation as well as follow-up of patients with orthopedic conditions, both in surgical and non-surgical treatment.

You will have significant responsibility for the patient's care pathway and will work closely with other professional categories such as doctors, nurses, administrators, and casting technicians/nursing assistants.

You are expected to drive the development of treatment guidelines for patient groups within your area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist.

You should have documented experience in the rehabilitation of orthopedic or sports-related injuries through work at an orthopedic clinic or in primary care for at least 2 years. Training in OMT or sports medicine is an advantage.

You should be proficient in working at a specialist clinic and able to handle complex patient cases independently. Furthermore, you should have good initiative, be flexible, and open to changes within the operational area.

Experience in healthcare development or the creation of treatment guidelines is particularly advantageous.

We would also like you to have experience working with the Cosmic journal system.
