Temporary Care Staff at Umeå Norra Short-Term Center

The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

At Umeå Norra Short-Term Center on Mariehemsvägen, we work with recovery and daily rehabilitation.

Our operations are designed to provide each resident with the best possible support to regain their abilities and be able to stay at home as long as possible.

With us, you will work in bright and modern premises with 64 apartments spread over four floors. Here, there is a working environment that promotes both well-being and development – a rehabilitation-adapted gym, a cozy visiting room, and a green outdoor area for recovery and social interaction.

Your Responsibilities

The care needs vary, and we work person-centered to assist individuals based on their different conditions. Common tasks include personal care and hygiene within the resident's room. We focus on the strengths of the individual and help preserve the abilities that exist. Under the delegation of the responsible nurse, you will perform medical tasks and be responsible for documenting completed interventions, actions, and the residents' health status in accordance with applicable routines.

You will work as a contact person, where the resident's participation is the focus. This ensures that interventions are carried out with good quality according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

About You

In your interactions with residents, high competence is required, based on personal maturity, good empathetic ability, and suitability for the role. You show genuine commitment to both users and the organization in your relationships and daily work. You enjoy working independently and are patient, responsible, and proactive. At the same time, you have a well-developed ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

For all positions, we are looking for individuals with experience in care and support work within elderly care. We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant or caregiver, but this is not a requirement. To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Other Information

Two temporary positions, full-time, starting from 2026-03-01 to 2026-08-31. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
