Lycksele Hospital
Lycksele Hospital is a small and well-equipped emergency hospital, and we are now looking for a nurse to join the Medical Center of Southern Lapland and the Medical Outpatient Clinic. Working at a smaller hospital allows you to be part of a strong community, competence, and drive. With us, you will develop, become independent, and collaborate with skilled colleagues.
Medical Outpatient Clinic
At the Medical Outpatient Clinic, we conduct outpatient activities in the areas of heart diseases, gastroenterology, hematology, lung diseases, anticoagulation, and physiotherapy. We also have a developed team approach in cardiac care, diabetes, and COPD, as well as a diagnostic center.
In the outpatient activities, nurses, nursing assistants, secretaries, social workers, dietitians, and foot care specialists work together.
At our workplace, we constantly strive to improve our ways of working. Therefore, ideas and suggestions for improvements are always welcome. We have a well-functioning collaboration with other staff within the clinic. For us, a health-promoting work environment is important to increase employee satisfaction and create an attractive workplace.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your role as a contact nurse is to follow the patient from the start of the investigation to the completed follow-up and to be a support for the patient and their relatives. As a contact nurse, you will work independently to a large extent and closely collaborate with the SVF team (standardized care pathway).
Since the time allocated for the contact nurse role is a maximum of 50%, nursing tasks at the outpatient clinic are also included in the full-time position. This work includes administering various treatments, follow-ups, caring for patients undergoing various outpatient examinations, and providing telephone advice.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed nurse. Experience/training in cancer care is an advantage.
You show commitment, take initiative, contribute to a good work environment, and take great responsibility for your assignment.
You have good communication skills and are good at collaborating.
As a person, you can handle multiple tasks, are solution-focused, and can adapt to changes in work methods and operations.
You enjoy working in a team where humility is key to helping, learning, and uplifting each other.
