Radiographer to Medical Imaging and Functional Medicine Västerbotten

Medical Imaging and Functional Medicine (BFM) Västerbotten conducts extensive operations at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå, Skellefteå Hospital, and Lycksele Hospital, as well as at health centers in southern Lapland. BFM Västerbotten is responsible for imaging radiological examinations such as nuclear medicine, mammography, and advanced peripheral and neuroradiological interventions. The equipment includes six MRI machines, seven CT scanners, two PET/CT machines, and one cyclotron. The clinic performs approximately 190,000 examinations per year.

Research is conducted in collaboration with Umeå University, focusing on fMRI and nuclear medicine with PET/CT, and international collaborative projects are ongoing. In collaboration with the university, training of doctors and radiology nurses is also conducted. The clinic employs just under 300 staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a radiology nurse, you will base your work on patients' radiological, medical, and other specific care needs, where you prioritize, plan, and carry out the examinations to be performed. You work professionally and always keep the patient in focus with the intention of providing high-quality individualized care.

The operations are conducted both acutely and planned, and radiology in Umeå is staffed around the clock, all year round. The position includes day, evening, night, and weekend shifts, including on-call work. Employment follows the applicable collective agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed radiology nurse. Experience with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an advantage.

As a person, you are reliable, engaged, proactive, and responsible with a strong patient focus. You are flexible, easily adapt to the needs and conditions of the operation, and remain calm in acute and stressful situations. You work towards the goals of the operation and maintain a professional approach.
