Do you want to help develop child and adolescent psychiatry in Kristianstad? We are looking for a senior physician who, together with dedicated colleagues, wants to make a difference for children and young people with mental health issues.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) area Kristianstad is part of Bup Skåne and includes the units in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, and Ystad. The area has about 100 employees working for and with children and adolescents up to 18 years old with moderate to severe mental health issues and their families. There are outpatient clinics in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, and Ystad. At all clinics, assessments, investigations, and treatments of children and adolescents are performed. The work includes both family and network. Bup Skåne's emergency services are located in Malmö, as are the specialist clinics, and for several years it has been an accredited university hospital unit, which means that we have a close collaboration with the medical faculty at Lund University regarding both research and education. The academic work permeates our operations. We value interest and experience from research and education when filling all our positions.

Bup Kristianstad consists of an outpatient clinic as well as intermediate care, an eating disorders team, and an infant and toddler unit. We are about 35 employees: nurses, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, child psychiatrists, resident doctors, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, PTP psychologists, and unit managers. We regularly receive students and collaborate closely with habilitation services. The work follows standardized care processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you have a central role in supervision and consultation to and from other colleagues, both individually and at treatment conferences. The role includes contributing to good and patient-safe care, and as a physician with us, you are an important link in the ongoing development work. We work in accordance with national guidelines and regional standardized care processes. Within Bup Skåne and in our area, both short- and long-term development work is ongoing in a number of areas, and we hope you are interested in engaging in the development of our care and operations.

Continuing education and the opportunity to combine work with research are offered as part of the needs of the operations and patients. As a senior physician, you will be invited to participate in both Bup's and the entire psychiatry's continuing education for specialists as well as regular local and regional medical meetings. Working hours are scheduled weekdays from 08:00 to 16:30 with the possibility of flexible hours. Additionally, on-call duty is included in Bup Skåne's overall backup line in Malmö.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have:

• specialist competence in child and adolescent psychiatry
• language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale
• completed or planned course in clinical supervision designated by the healthcare provider
• full-time employment of at least three years (documented effective time)
• clinical skill and independence in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry
• defined medical responsibility and knowledge area
• documented teaching and supervision merits.

As a person, you have very good communication and collaboration skills, work in a structured manner, and enjoy working in a team. You are generous with your knowledge and want to contribute to a continued positive work climate and development of the operations. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision and teaching at various levels.
