We are looking for a specialist physician/senior physician for the Pain Clinic within the Department of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care (AnOpIVA) at Helsingborg Hospital and Ängelholm Hospital. We are a university hospital unit with active research and education, as well as HBO activities.

Within the VO AnOpIVA, we conduct a wide range of acute and elective activities, including all surgical operations, recovery department, day surgery unit, and sterile technical unit in Helsingborg and Ängelholm. Additionally, we provide intensive care, intermediate care, pain clinic services, and hyperbaric treatment in Helsingborg. We have a total of 20 operating rooms and perform approximately 12,500 surgeries each year with the best availability for surgery in Region Skåne.

The Pain Clinic in Helsingborg primarily serves patients with acute, neurogenic, or cancer-related pain. The focus is on pharmacological and interventional treatment of these patients. Our outpatient clinic is under strong development, with the goal of expanding the interventional treatment methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist physician/senior physician with us, you will work at both Helsingborg Hospital and Ängelholm Hospital, where individual preferences are balanced against the needs of the operation. You will actively participate in continuing education and drive the operation forward, as well as have the competence to staff all of the operation's on-call lines, including backup on-call.

For specialist physicians, there is an opportunity to undergo the SSAI program, and for senior colleagues, there are opportunities for other individually tailored further education.

The position at the pain clinic is a full-time position, but there is an option for part-time work. It is also possible to combine this position with other duties within the anesthesia clinic. With us, you will work in the pain unit for about half of your time, and the remaining time will be distributed within the operation and intensive care department.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in the field of anesthesia and intensive care. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

For employment as a senior physician, you must also have full-time service of at least five years (documented effective time) and clinical skill and independence in the field of anesthesia and intensive care. A dissertation and/or specialist examination can be credited as a total of six months of clinical service. The following is also required:

• defined medical responsibility and knowledge area
• completed or planned clinical supervisor training
• documented teaching and supervision merits.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application the pedagogical courses you have completed or planned, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
