The Department of Children and Families administers several different social insurance benefits – including parental allowance, pregnancy allowance, maintenance support, and housing allowance. The Legal Support area is responsible for the department's review operations, litigation in court, and the legal support close to case management. Our litigation lawyers in the Department of Children and Families are located in Gothenburg and Sundsvall. We are in an exciting phase of development and need to grow. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their tasks and working together with others to strengthen the legal quality of the department.
Legal support, development, and collaboration
As a litigation lawyer, you represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in social insurance cases in administrative courts and administrative courts of appeal. In collaboration with the legal department, you appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court. As a litigation lawyer, you participate in reviewing legal quality follow-ups. The work involves both written case management and oral hearings in administrative courts.
In the role of litigation lawyer, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who
- has a law degree
- is qualified as a notary or has equivalent competence, such as other experience in court or in review and/or appeal processes within an authority
- has good collaboration skills and can act on their own initiative
- is proactive and takes responsibility for results with high quality
- has a systematic and meticulous working method
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- communicates clearly, concisely, and structured.
It is advantageous if you
- have current experience in social insurance cases in administrative courts or administrative courts of appeal
- have good knowledge of administrative procedural law and social insurance law
- have knowledge within the relevant department's insurance area.

A number of positions, permanent full-time, with start date by agreement. We apply a probationary period. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Possibility for remote work exists if the work allows. In this recruitment, psychological tests may be used as part of the selection process. Locations: Sundsvall, Stockholm, Örebro, Jönköping, and Gothenburg.
