Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department
We are Akademiska sjukhuset – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer services to two million people in Central Sweden. Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. With us, you will experience both tough challenges and fantastic events, in a strong community with colleagues. See parts of our reality in our photo exhibition; akademiskafotoutstallning.se (http://akademiskafotoutstallning.se). Welcome with your application!
Our Operations
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) is a cutting-edge section. Here we meet children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families. We work based on evidence-based methods and standardized care processes, placing great emphasis on high-quality care and care development. Much research is also conducted within the department in close collaboration with the clinics.
We now need to expand our teams and are therefore looking for two new psychologists for our treatment clinics. At the clinic, psychologists, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers work together. To ensure that patients receive good care and treatment, we collaborate in interprofessional teams. We conduct targeted improvement work in our care and actively work to improve and develop the staff's work environment. The employees at the clinic are open, positive, competent, and ambitious, making it easy for new hires to integrate.
Your Mission
Being a psychologist at Akademiska sjukhuset is an exciting job where you meet people in many different situations. You will also be part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while you will work independently. Here you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks.
The work as a psychologist involves working with the treatment of children and adolescents and their families individually, but we also have extensive group activities that you can participate in. Continuous collaboration with parents and care neighbors is a natural part of the job. The work also includes collaboration with BUP's other operations, schools, and social services.
Your Qualifications
You should be a licensed psychologist with experience working with children and youth, preferably from BUP. You enjoy working in interprofessional teams and want to contribute positively to the development of the clinic's work and routines. Experience working with preschool-aged children and competence in trauma work is an additional merit.
Your Skills
You always put the patient in focus and are responsible, motivated, and goal-oriented in your work. With a structured and self-driven approach, you take responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward with a focus on results. You are not only a skilled psychologist but also an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment through attentive and constructive collaboration. You are self-assured, have good self-awareness, and can distinguish between the personal and the professional. If you combine this with curiosity and precision, you may be the right fit for us.
We Offer
We offer a permanent position. As a new employee with us, you will receive a mentor. We are located in newly renovated premises in the heart of Uppsala. The work is scheduled during daytime on weekdays. You will work in teams with wonderful colleagues.
With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/ (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/)).
