Are you studying to become a doctor or a nurse?

If you have progressed in your studies, you are welcome to express your interest in a part-time position as a nursing assistant for work during the spring and summer at the emergency department for children and youth. We prefer that you have reached at least the 6th semester of the medical program or the 3rd semester of the nursing program to work as a nursing assistant with us.

Our operations

You will work in the emergency department for children and youth, which is part of the section for acute pediatric care. The section for acute pediatric care also includes the pediatric and youth emergency care unit 95E. There is also an opportunity to rotate between these two operations. Therefore, we want to connect with you who see a job with us as a chance to enhance your CV with valuable experience – but also to make an important contribution to pediatric care!

Your mission

As a nursing assistant with us in the children's emergency department, you will work both independently with your own responsibility and in a team with other nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. The tasks are varied and include, along with caring for children and relatives, among other things, sampling and inhalations. We place great emphasis on patient flow and patient contact. The work offers a great variety in terms of difficulty, content, and pace. Our patients arrive both walking and by ambulance. We often receive patients who require immediate, acute care in our emergency room. The workday in the children's emergency department consists of many meetings with our patients and their families. As the patients' conditions can change rapidly, the work becomes both varied and challenging, and effective teamwork is always focused on the best interests of the patient.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a medical student and have completed at least the sixth semester at a Swedish university.
• Are a nursing student and have completed at least the third semester.

We offer

We offer a part-time position starting by agreement but preferably as soon as possible. The employment begins with an introduction to the operations, the extent of which is discussed with the recruiting managers regarding the scope of the introduction. The work includes both day, evening, and night shifts. Before hiring, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register will be obtained.
