Our Operations

Do you enjoy varied surgery and emergency care, and do you value a pleasant workplace? Then we are the workplace for you!

Here in the postoperative department entrance 95–96 at Uppsala University Hospital, we provide postoperative care for patients who have undergone surgery. Patients from various areas of specialization are operated on here - gynecology, obstetrics, endocrinology, urology, and colorectal. This includes everything from minor procedures where patients do not require much postoperative care to major advanced surgeries with complex postoperative care. We also have a day surgery service where patients come directly to our department in the morning, are admitted, monitored after surgery, and then discharged through us. We mostly have planned surgeries but also have an emergency flow of obstetric and gynecological patients.

We are open Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Fridays 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and closed on weekends and public holidays. We are looking for someone who wants to develop our operations together with us!

Your Qualifications and Competence

You who are applying are a licensed nurse and confident in your profession. You always put the patient in focus and are responsible and motivated in your work. You are an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good working environment. Experience in intermediate care/surgical care and work in a recovery department is considered an advantage, but we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.

We Offer

We offer a permanent position. Full-time employment with start date according to agreement. We apply individualized onboarding. Working hours are scheduled Monday-Friday and include about two evenings per week. A probationary period may be applied.
