Unit Description
The Special Operations Group (SOG) is the core unit within the Swedish Armed Forces' special forces, located in Karlsborg. SOG's main characteristics are high quality, high availability, great mobility, flexibility, and adaptability. We strive for simplicity in both planning and execution, unpredictability through unconventional and flexible methods, as well as determination, precision, and decisiveness in execution.
We have high-quality, task-adapted, and lightweight equipment to ensure great mobility, both strategically and tactically, and to solve tasks that regular units cannot address for various reasons.
The primary tasks of the Special Operations Group are combat, intelligence gathering, and military support. SOG has high availability with specially selected personnel who have extensive operational experience and a high level of training.
Position Description
The position of security guard/receptionist is part of an operational organization led by a military commander. The organization includes security guards/receptionists, cleaners, and administrative staff.
Main Responsibilities
The work mainly takes place at the reception desk with constant customer contact and includes, among others:
- Serving at the reception
- Supporting personnel at the unit with service-related tasks (e.g., bookings, lending, inventory, etc.)
- Security guard and IBSS
- Monitoring and response to alarmed objects & areas
- Escort for external visitors
- Support within the existing operational organization
The tasks for a security guard/receptionist can be very varied, and a flexible attitude towards solving tasks that may also lie outside the ordinary, as well as good collaboration skills, are highly valued.
Position Requirements:
- Swedish citizen
- Driver's license class B
- Good knowledge of expressing oneself, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English.
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite
- Security guard
- Physical ability corresponding to FM FYSS supplementary test level 2
Meritorious:
- Completed and approved military service, GMU, or GU
- Documented weapon training (pistol/carbine)
- Knowledge of alarm, access, CCTV systems (Unison equivalent)

Placement is permanent, earliest from 2026-08-05 or by agreement. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period.
