Örebro University Hospital, Vascular-Thoracic Department is seeking a resident physician for a temporary position. The Vascular and Thoracic Department consists of a care ward with an associated intermediate care unit (IMA), intensive care unit, operating room, vascular outpatient clinic, and administration. We perform approximately 1600 surgeries per year in open heart surgery, general thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and arrhythmia services. The operation is characterized by a strong production focus combined with intensive research and development work. We provide advanced vascular-thoracic surgical care around the clock, and specialists are available in thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and thoracic anesthesiology. We have about 200 dedicated employees who contribute daily to an open work climate and distinct teamwork.

Temporary Resident Physician to the Thoracic Section USÖ

You will work independently with access to support from specialist physicians and ST physicians. This includes examining, investigating, assessing, and treating patients with thoracic vascular surgical conditions. As a resident physician with us, you will work with admission reception, ward work, and assist in surgery.

Licensed physician. Swedish equivalent to level C1 on the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement. We are looking for someone who easily creates good meetings with both patients and colleagues. You have a positive attitude where the patient is in focus.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and ability to collaborate. Familiarity with Cosmic and Örebro University Hospital is an advantage, as is previous experience working as a resident physician. Temporary position, full-time. On-call and standby shifts during evenings and weekends may occur.
