Ward 12 has beds for patients with respiratory illnesses. You will encounter patients with various diagnoses, where COPD and lung cancer are among the most common. The patients admitted to the ward often require acute care, while some patients are in the end stages of life and need qualified palliative care.

We are part of one of the largest healthcare clinics with nearly 300 employees. The area of heart-lung medicine and clinical physiology provides highly specialized care with advanced methods and techniques, but also basic medical care and palliative care in the end stages of life. The clinic consists of three sections: the heart section, the lung section, and the clinical physiology section.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three acute hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education. Both in 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from the newspaper Dagens Medicin.
