The General Psychiatric Clinic in Lindesberg is a specialist operation within the Health and Medical Care Administration that offers specialized care for mental illness and distress. The catchment area is northern Örebro County. Our mission is to assess, treat, and rehabilitate individuals referred to our unit via referral or who seek help independently through our telephone advice service or 1177 Vårdguiden. We are a well-functioning unit with about 40 employees. Treatment and psychoeducational interventions are conducted both individually and in groups, as well as through digital consultations. The unit employs doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, nursing assistants, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical care administrators. The work environment is important to us, and we continuously invest in improvements and wellness activities. Ongoing development of methods, processes, and working practices is an integral part of our operations, as is the supervision of students and new colleagues. We collaborate closely with SPOT, the specialist psychiatric care team in the North, with whom we also share premises. We cooperate with primary care, habilitation, user organizations, the municipality's social psychiatry, and other healthcare partners. Work is conducted Monday to Friday without weekends, with flexible hours. Many employees commute, and there are good train and bus connections to Lindesberg, with a walking distance from Lindesberg Travel Center to the clinic.

The job responsibilities include basic clinical work as well as planning and executing psychological treatment, assessment, evaluation, and advice even in complex cases. You contribute psychological perspectives and knowledge in collaboration with other professionals and the organization as a whole. You work towards evaluating and developing the operations and clinical processes. You contribute to systematic quality assurance and take responsibility for implementing the best available methods for assessment, investigation, and treatment in accordance with the national care and intervention program (VIP).

As we in Psychiatry care about our patients and value patient safety highly, we will request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records from the National Police Board during the recruitment process.
